Understanding Cents Per Point (CPP)
Cents Per Point (CPP) is the standard metric for measuring Qantas Points value. It tells you how many Australian cents each point is worth for a given redemption. A higher CPP means better value. Aim for at least 1.0c per point — anything below 0.7c is generally considered poor value.
Formula: CPP = (Cash equivalent value ÷ Points required) × 100
Example: A Business Class flight worth $5,000 AUD costing 100,000 points = 5.0c per point ✓
